Exhaust quesiton.....???
Alright so i have a 1985 GT convertible. I just took off my catalytics converters and put on an h pipe that i got when i bought the car. Ive got shorty headers on right. I bolted everything up right and nicely, but i cant seem to stop the middle of the exhaust from sagging.
There doesnt sem to be any place to tie up the exhaust to inbetween the headers and the two mufflers on the back. Has anyone had this similiar issue, what have you done?
Thanks in advance.

What do you have for the back half of the exhaust?? If you have it hung right you don't have to use the hanger that is on the trans crossmember. Fox exhausts sag a little anyway. If you place a jack under the midpipe and raise it up some when tightening up the nuts on the headers you can bring it up some.

i just have the stock setup for the back part of the exhaust system. Ill have to jack it up high though and see if its hung up right back towards the mufflers.
Other than that ya, there seems to be a spot over the crossmemeber i should be able to use, the exhaust pipes extendes a long piece over the top of the crossemeber to hang somehwere, but there just doesnt seem to be anywhere.

That is the bracket that is supposed to be there. Again it is not needed. If the mufflers are hanging like they should be then they will be fine. Sure, if you do use it your exhaust has less chance of it rattling against anything but that shouldn't be a problem. I am guessing you have a 1 piece h-pipe. That is a little harder to tuck up into the body than multi piece ones. That is my I like my MAC H-pipe. It comes in 3 pieces, yes it can be a PITA sometimes but it can be tucked up under the car pretty well.
