Default Possible Clutch Issue

I have a 1993 Ford Mustang GT and I have noticed that when I shift in to first gear and so on, I have to put a lot of muscle when doing so. I was told from a friend that I should replace my clutch. I was just curious if that is what I should do because I am on a budget. Thank You

don't use alot of force to get it into gear. T-5's are already weak enough!

Sounds like it could possibly be a cable issue. your cable may not be pulling the fork far enough to disengage the clutch. they are $23.99 @ autozone.

do you use alot of force on the clutch pedal or shifter?

pull up on the pedal until it clicks,

the cable may have stretched not allowing the pressure plate to fully disengage the disc, or the input tip is hanging up inside the pilot bearing.
