Default Headers Changing Colors

I think this might be normal, but it never hurts to ask. After installing my new chrome headers they both turned purple and bronze...I wanted them to stay nice and clean chrome. Do all of your guys BBK headers change colors really fast as well? They used to be so perty [&o]

Yeah crome headers wont last chrome for long they turn blue-ish when they heat up.

Ok thx. I wonder why they turn colors though? There must be some scientific kind of answer for it. They should advertise that also that they wont stay chrome... Do wrapping them prevent this from happining?

wrapping doesnt help this i dont think, but it does make them rust MUCH faster. this is normal for chrome, thats why i like ceramic

its normal for any chrome to do that. also ceramic also rusts but not as quickly

I have bbks as well. Mine turned purple the first time i started them. Good news though...they are still purple two years later. I dont drive the car in the rain or winter, and the headers get so hot they dont rust anyways,

they reason they are changing colors is bc the chrome is burning and will slowly chip off and rust
