92Hatch, thanks for the link. I definitely want to do something with my AOD. When I ordered my heads I also ordered a new valve body with the hold feature. I hate how fast the car shifts from 2nd to 3rd. With this valve body I will be able to hold the gears when shifting manually. A new TC is also something I am interested in. Even with the 3.73 gears, the car just doesn't seem that "oomph" when taking off from a start. A higher TC would certainly help that out.

Not a problem, I've had two AOD cars now that I've modded and I know what works and what doesn't now pretty well. What brand and model VB did you order? I've got a Baumann kit that you can change the shift points and firmness in each gear under WOT. You will crap your pants once you see what a difference the torque converter makes! haha. Just remember to NOT go with an off the shelf TC. I would also highly suggest getting the bronze AOD grommet (it replaces the stock peice of crap the ford used), it goes on the linkage under the throttle body, you can get it from Ford or do a search on the net for it and probably get it cheaper. I believe Ford had a TSB out about it back in the day.

Check out the AOD pressure regulator boost valve kit, it's worth the time while you've got the VB out and only $40.00.

Okay 92Hatch, I took your word for it. I talked to Andre at Edge and ordered a custom TC for my car. I'm an old guy with 3 sons so we decided to go a little mild on the TC since this car is a cruise around town with kids car. It more than likely won't see the drag strip. We are doing a 2800 RPM stall and he said the shift point will be set around 5600 RPM. I am SO ready to get this car done now, with the improvement of the AOD and the engine modifications. I decided to have the heads and all other work professionally installed at a Mustang Speed Shop in Memphis. The owner told me that he will also install an SCT tuner with 4 different custom tunes for the car and he will performance tune the car with the help of his dyno. Now it is driving me nuts trying to guess how much HP this car will display on the dyno.
