Default Used prochargers

Hi i just picked up 91 gt, f303,1.6 rockers, full mac exhaust, cobra r intake.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on used prochargers, what brand and which model and max boost would be best for my car.

If you buy a used blower setup make sure you get all the parts. If you don't you could wind up with more in it than a new one. Friend of mind just bought a used Vortec for his 01 Vert. By the time he got done he was within 100 dollars of the price of a new one for a 70,000 mile unit.

yeah thats never good, i would go brand new all the way unless you know the person you are purchasing from and can verify all your parts are there

next thing im doing is subframe connectors then vortech supercharger

how much cheaper is a used blower anyways?

I'd invest in a set of heads and a better cam before a used superchargers.

Personally, I'd opt for a used Vortech V1/V2 or Paxton Novi. They are good superchargers and are capable of making some great boost. Plus they are usually much cheaper than the prochargers. However, the prochargers do come with an intercooler. But you could just buy a meth kit for the Vortech/Paxton. Corral.net has some killer deals on used superchargers.

You can put a air/air intercooler setup on a novi/vortech on top of that you can snag a Novi 1200 or 1500 on ebay for like $1500 to $1800. I still think a set of heads and a better can are a better investment.
