Default Stalling after H/C swap

Okay, So I swapped my heads and cam. Got gt40p heads and an f303 cam. Kept my eddy rpm II intake and everything else. Now when it starts it surges really bad and stalls. I have the base timing set to 10. It's a 92 gt, a9l computer. No problems before the swap. No codes other than egr and AIR(both have been removed since long before the swap) I kept the stock 19lb injectors. It idles fine if you drive it like 2 minutes. From the end of my driveway to the top of the neighborhood is enough and it wont stall or surge anymore after you come to a stop. Any ideas? This is driving me crazy

well, seems like only before you drive it some. like i said, I can sit there and hold it at 2000 rpm for a minute, and itll still do it, i can drive a block and its fine. right now i have the thermostat out of it so its not like it warms up quickly. im running a flush thru the cooling system. but it did it before i removed the thermostat, so that has nothing to do with it. could it be anything with the pcv system?

okay....i think i took care of the problem. not sure cuz it wasnt cold, but yeah..... my boss's timing light has a dial to set the timing lights timing, and it was set to 10...so i set my base to 20 degrees...which would explain the horrible idle, the lack of low rpm power....i think. someone please confirm that this fixed my problems lol, i dont wanna wait til tomorrow morning

isnt 20* base a little high? what is your fuel press set at? did you unplug the spout when you set the timing?

If it is running better at 20 deg then you need to restab that dizzy. Then again your balancer could have spun a little on you( common problem with our cars being so old). Did you pull that spout connector out when setting your base timing?
