no, you cannot use a 94-95 trans, or any of the 96+

you need fox bellhousing and tranny, or if you had a sn-95 t-5 you'd have to swap input shafts.

or if he just installed the SN trans as is... he would need the SN bellhousing, and clutch fork... gonna have to cut the tack welds on the crossmember and push it back, then get it re-welded. Then, the driveshaft is going to stick too far into the trans, so a modified driveshaft would be in order.

then ofcourse you run into the shifter location issues inside the car...

its just not pretty

I would keep the aod, you would be amazed how your car would feel with a valvebody upgrade and a higher stall converter. The AODE's are nice to.

pretty hard, and completely pointless... the AOD was stronger then the AODE

you'd need a ecm dedicated to operate the electronically controlled shifts, but as ADDER SAYS, you'd be better off sticking with an Aod over the aode in your case

The AODE is stronger in stock form. Please backup your statements because I know differently.
Also it is not hard to retrofit them with a Baumannator TCS and a valve body from them.
