Default MAF

I want to convert my 87 GT to Mass Air. I already have the mass air flow sensor and housing from one of my old 89 GT's. I know I will need to purchase a newer computer. My question is about the harness. I have found a harness add on, instead of replacing the entire harness you just have to splice this in. Has anyone done this?
