scat 347 forged rotating assembly

Jackson Timing Gears, procomp 1.6 roller rockers, Procomp aluminum heads 210cc runners and 60cc chambers, mac ceramic shorty headers, full custom 2 1/2 exhaust, holley contender intake manifold, edelbrock 624 cfm carb, 73 block .30 over, electric fans, aluminum radiator, aftermarket oil pan, UPR tubular k-membr,

heres what im looking to know, what is a good street strip cam for this setup and what length pushrods do i want, the car needs to be very driveable it has a c4 auto built to handle 400 hp so thats no issue its got a 2k stall speed in it and 3.73 gears im lookin for something with a nice idle but still makes good low end power i dont rev the car way up usually never higher than 5k so let me know what you think and what you think itll have for power thanks

Custom, otherwise maybe one of Comps 347 stroker cams. And pushrod length on any engine always needs to be checked.

Oh yeah, I didn't even notice that. Yeah, you will want at least a 750, if you have the bones then a really good 850 with annulars would work great.

carb is to small, convertor shouldn't be chosen until cam is selected and intake is all wrong, to my knowledge that is a chevy intake, either way with your combo you won't be even close to pushing that 400 hp tranny to it's limit.

There are a few flaws in your plan. The Holley Contender intake is a very small Dual plane that would suffocate a decent running 289 so you can imagine what it's going to do on a 347. You need at least 1-3/4 headers on those Pro Comp 210's and a set of shortys will cost you some power and 1-3/4 shortys are very few in selection. The Carb is way too small for a healthy 347. I can tell from your list of parts that you are working on a limited budget so here what I would reccomend for a lot of bang for the buck.

You need to measure the pushrods with the heads on.

Lose the gear drive in favor of a decent chain. You can save a lot of money right there.
Buy a Summit Stage 3 intake.(cheap well made RPM Knockoff) Ebay the contender
Summit 750 CFM carb(it's the best for the buck carb on the market)
TFS Stage 2 Cam (It's cheap, it's aggressive and makes decent power) will be OK with 2000 stall
Get a set of BBK long tube headers (cheapest 1-3/4 long tubes)

Not only will it sound like it's no joke but it will be able to back it up. You will hit the 400 hp mark at the crank. Nothing is really optimal but it will still make gobs of power.
