front fender molding

Default front fender molding

on my rh side fender the molding is coming off a lil towards the wheel well...i only found new moldings for 91-93 lx's...the molding doesnt seem bent or damaged just like the adhesive is old...can i reuse the molding or do i have to search for a new one?

I assume we are talking about the flat molding. It can be reused. ***However - You need to be very careful getting it off, and keeping it flat. You can't just pull it off, as it has a metal core that will bend as you pull it and then its done.

What some bodyshops do is use a guitar string fastened to blocks. And slide it behind to cut the tape. You might also be also to use a steel leader for fishing, etc.

What I'VE DONE is just ripped it off then pulled off the metal backing and it'll lay flat again, then affix 3m double sided tape to it and restick it, Did my 85 that way 8 years ago and it is still fine today
