Default Gear install? Whine?
Hey guys I just got my car back from the shop I got them to install frpp 3 73's, bearing kit and a whole new ford carrier because my car used to only swpin one wheel. It now makes a wierd howling sounds in 4th and 5th and it kinda gets louder the higher the rpm and is kinda finikiy with the throttle. Is this bad? They said it will take 400 to 500 km to break in? Do you think it will go away? Im scared haha I am so broke now the bill was huge

if u got a whine it means they werent installed right gears should not whine even if they are new

PINION DEPTH COULD BE WRONG?? is the whine present on accel and decel at those speeds??

Sounds like it might be a slightly loose pinion preload or wrong pinion depth. Take it back to the shop and have them check it.

don't run it to much more without having it corrected.....problem is within the first few min the wear pattern sets in
