Default Compression too high?

Could the stock 9:1 compression be too high to run 10 PSI of boost intercooled on 93 octane? Nothing seems to be solving my detonation problem...so I think lowering the compression is my last resort.

9:1 is a fine CR. you soundnt have denotation but what is your A/F ratio? without knowing your A/F you really cant do any real configuring. chances are you are to lean. up the fuel pump, up hte injectors

If you have the fuel system to support it, and don't try to run too much timing, and run a boost retard, you should be OK with this setup.

Well it was dyno tuned...guy said the A/F ratio should be perfect...and timing was 10 base, with 22 advance. 42# injectors with a 255 lph pump. Even when we retarded it to about 5 base there was still a slight ping under load. Noone seems to have an answer.
