Default What's the tool you need to take the gear casing off on a 1992 Mustang GT?

I think it looks like a socket. I need to know what it's called, how much it is, and where to get one.

Been thinking hard on this one, I think he maybe talking about the timing cover but he needs to get the balancer off

could be mean the differential cover? or the the transmission pan? I dunno

I use a "multi-directional, inertia generating, impact device" (more commonly known as a hammer!) to remove my gear casing. But come to think of it, I use that on everything!.
