air silencer removal
#11
I meant I took my 5.0 out for a little cruise after the air silencer removal and I tried doing the wide open throttle but my 5.0 didnt respond. I was asking if anybody knew why my 5.0 didnt respond to (w)ide (o)pen(t)hrottle?
Any advice will help...

I agree, go back over what you did. However, I would have a hard time believing you had to take much of it apart to get off the silencer. I know I didn't have much of a problem with it.
But when you say it didn't respond to WOT... you mean it didn't increase in speed at all, it was slow at increasing speed, or it was not the same as response another car? (vtec? ) Oh, and at what speed & gear did you apply WOT? WOT in 2nd gear (fast response) is much different than WOT in 5th gear at low RPMs (slower response).

Yeah, it seems like it would be something like the air flow sensor incorrectly reading how much air is coming in now.

You are acting like WOT is a specific feature of a vehicle... like a turbo? Almost any car, when you compress the gas pedal completely, is going WOT unless it has some kind of rev-limiter. Fox body's do not have rev-limiters (by default) from factory. Somebody may have made it that way though.

Foxbodys do have a rev-limited, 6250 RPM.
What you maybe talking about is the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). This tells the computer when you mash the pedal to WOT (Wide Open Throttle) aka pedal to the metal. You can test the TPS to ensure its in the correct operating range.
