Default 1985 mustang gt car keeps dying

Hi
problem with the car

car starts and runs for about 10 minutes then dies. it is not the fuel pump or the starter or alternator.could it be the msd coil or the msd box because once the car cools down for about an hour it then starts fine. I changed the msd ignition modual and put a Ford modual and that did not correct the problem. I beleive something is heating up and shutting the car down, any one have any ideas it is drivng me nuts please help

Funny this would come up.I was talking to someone this evening that had a similar issue way back when and it turned out that a small electric fuel pump on the firewall solved a vaporlock issue.
I wouldn't go that route but we are still getting some old winter blend in some areas and that may be your problem.

Does everthing else work? When it dies, do you still have spark?

check for spark and or fuel when it dies, can of ether and old spark plug are all you need, it could be the pick up coil in the distributor if it's spark related.
