you just bought the car recently correct? Why don't you contact the seller and ask if the gauge was registering the oil pressure this way prior to your purchasing the car. Perhaps that's the way the gauge was working beforehand.

its a little low for my comfort range. Some old schoolers will tell you 10psi per 1k rpms, which is false nowadays. My car runs a constant 45psi no matter what rpm.

ford spec is 40-60 psi at 2k rpms at normal operating temp (190-210 degrees F)

Mine (2k miles since rebuild) runs 55-60psi at idle and about 70psi at 2k rpms at first start and at operating temp its about 35-40 psi at idle and 55-60 psi at 2k rpms.

hey! that was gonna be my joke! lol nah, i was center fielder and pitcher so i can throw well......but the electrical gauges still blow either way

remember when dimebag(i think thats who this happened too) had his dizzy shaft twist and break and it was too late by the time the engine seized because of the damn electrical gauge.

Depnds on the what "electric" gauge you are talking about, AutoMeter, VDO, ect electic gauges are accurate and reliable.
