Clutch grabs at the very top. Slips high gears.

It may be the fork. I'll see if I can notice anything when I look tomorrow. I didn't ride it on this clutch, but on the old one as it was going bad it was having trouble grabbing. So that may have messed up the fork.

oh sry must have missed that. but if it has been slipping like that for a while it is just ruining the clutch so it still could need replacement anyway.
and OP firewall adjusters are much easier to use. i suggest buying one

another thing might have happened was the wrong hook was used, one is for stock cables and one is for adjustable, while the third(on some) is just for getting around a patent and should not be used

84conversion is right. It shouldn't have that much slack in it. 1st hook, second hook it really doesn't matter. Firewall adjuster, quadrant etc. If a clutch is slipping due to improper adjustment. It's too tight. Your's is not too tight so lets move on.
Either the disc is toast, probably. Or the diaphram is broken, maybe. Throwout bearing is seized to the input shaft/sleeve due to lack of lube or a wear groove, but I doubt that one. I say yank it out and have a look.
