Anyone have a supercharged 331?

Well you are wrong there. There is not less block in a 347 (well there is a slight amount less, but not enough to make any difference). Power and high RPM are what kill the stock blocks.

347 with less boost = 331 with more boost
hell my NA 331 is getting close to block splitting territory
limit the rpms to pull, dont get crazy with the power it puts out (see extra boost), and make a super safe tune so its doesnt even come in the same area code as detonation and you should be good for quite some time.

mjr46 is right i had a vortech v1 s trim 10lbs of boost stock block and internals, f cam tfs heads and was pumpig out 485 hp on a safe tune daily drving.. no point in stroking if ur gonna split the block. buy a good block and do it right the first time

I have no problem staying stock block and internals. I like the numbers you have. Now what about going carb. Its cheaper and I hate messing with electrical. The guy I bought my car from has the intake and bs all messed up so I was thinking of going carb. Do you guys recommend doing that?
As far as heads go what type of heads do you recommend. I want something really good cause I do plan on buying a aftermarket block and stroking it. I want to be able to reuse the heads and they still be great heads. Also what about intake, or if you guys say its ok to run a carb what carb and manifold set up?

id run what you have and build up the aftermarket block on the side if you already plan on doing that in the long run. More motivation because you wont want to wait.
Dart, or boss block, 347 ci, blower of your choice and you can make all the power you want. Efi will work out with some extra power, usually worth the money although i just red an article on a turbo'd and carbed mustang making huge power (900) and it was streetable (relatively)
