31 vs 28 spline axles

31 vs 28 spline axles

If i were to do a 5 lug conversion, how do i know if I need the 28 spline or 31 spline axles? What would be the deciding factor, my car is a 87 gt with 373 gears.

pull out a axle and count the splines, most likely if you haven't changed to 31 then you're 28

you most likely have 28 = stock but count the splines when you pull the axles.
