Default New Here Looking For Help (Compression)

I currently have a high compression setup 13:1 and wanting opinions on how to lower, its obvious the first thing would be to change pistons, or heads but before I start this project I want the best advice. I heard of going with thicker head gaskets can do the job but longetivity Im concerned about, whats your imput? Which way would you go. Budget is enough either way but trying to be conservative.

Thanks for the help in advance

head gaskets won't be enough to lower it, you could open your chambers up some, but you'd need to measure the cc before and after and make it equal all across the board...do you have dome pistons or something???
