Default oil pan gasket walked out

hey i need to know if the chilton manual is right on how to remove the oil pan on my 94 gt. it says just lift the engine like 6 inches take the rack and pinion off and the pan should slide off. my question is how right is that? also i need to know the location of the pcv vale or where it goes into like the valve covers. i know it goes to the bottom of the intake manifoldbut where does it go to on the motor. thanx

i think there's a sticky post at the top of the 5.0 forum that has a picture of the engine bay, with a listing of the parts inside. look for the pcv valve in it.

that makes it sound a lot easier than it was for me. but generally yes.. unbolt the mounts lift it up about 6 inches and start taking off the parts in the way.. i dont remember what all had to come off but you will see when you are under there.

Make sure you get the one piece oil pan gasket...it's worth the extra money...makes the job a whole lot easier.
