Default Help with supercharger setup on stock bore and internals

After a few threads I have decided to just stay with stock internals. I have seen alot of reallt nice numbers and times from people with h/c/i and supercharger. I was going to go stroker but like most I cant afford a aftermarket block. I can afford to stroke it but this is going to be my daily driver and I cant afford for the block to split. I am looking for 450+ rwhp and a low 11 sec or high ten car. So what set up should I go with. I have about 5000 to play with. Cheaper is always better. Heads I will definalty want ported along with intake and a custom cam. Looking to run 10+ psi from a vortech supercharger. I was also considering going carb to cut down on easy of project and cost. What are your guys thoughts on this? If its more of a hassel or cuts down power I will go with an intake setup.

I was also wondering what fuel setup I should run? From tank to motor? I know some blower kits come with a fuel system but what kits have it from vortech? What about pistons and rods and crank? For people that have done this. Do you remove them and have them cleaned up or anything or do you just leave them alone? Should I get different pistons and rods?

The stock block and internals is good for up to 500rwhp. Anything past that and your motor becomes a time bomb. You should be able to hit 450rwhp really easy. Check out my mods: Trickflow TW heads, Trickflow Stg-1 cam, box stock GT-40 intake and Vortech pumping out 15psi. I should also say that this is with an AODE and I ran out of fuel at 5000rpm. Plus I have stock internals. As for a fuel system for you, 42lb injectors plus a 255lph fuel pump should be adequate, and a good tune. There was a guy on here a while back who was running Trickflow heads, stock cam, ported Cobra intake and a Vortech with 10psi putting out 449rwhp/449rwtq.

Default HP

If you already have the FI parts then stay with them. Fuel system I would run an external pump, no in tank pump, .5 line from the tank, split at the rails to feed each bank, 42lb inj with a tune. Either an Anderson, Tweecer or the one I run a F.A.S.T. stand alone. If you want to stay safe and have a lot of HP then do an innercooler setup also. All this will cost an extra 2500+ but well worth the money on a stock block. My car has been dynoed at 468HP and 435T on a 100,000 mile plus stock bottom end with a HCI setup. Before the new motor that is in my car now. The old motor is out and will be going into the next project.

Damn bro that sucks. This is why I wont be stroking my motor. If I do it will be a 306 or a mild 331.

Do you think it's mainly because he stroked it to a 347 or because he stroked it to a 347 and procharged it?

Well with enough power it doesny matter if its blown or not. But the boost on a stock block stroked or not is a ticking time bomb.

exactly. stroked or not the block couldn't handle 567 rwhp for long
