Default T5 Swap Harness Problem

I recently changed my car from a aod to a t5 and bought what I thought was everything to do the swap. I purchased a harness that is out of a t5 car and removed the stock aod harness, after plugging it in inside I got under the car and the plugs dont match to anything. The harness looks the same as the aod except it has 3 plugs instead of 2. After the harness swap the car wouldnt get power to the solenoid with the key on, we found out it need the adapter harness off the aod to fire, so we swapped that on and now I have wires just hanging under my car that dont plug into anything. Also my speedometer isnt hooked up, all I have is the orginal aod cable, whats need to get it back hooked up?

Thanks for any help

i have a 93 and my auto speedo cable worked, i just had to get the different gear.

if you just need to get it running you can hook the 2 wires togather that come off of the car, 2 of them are for the reverse lights, and the other 2 are for neutral safety.

i'm thinking about doing the same swap to my 5.0 is it a lot of fabrication and work or was it fairly easy?

zero fabrication work, at least it wasnt for me.

just get the pedals (pita to install) and the tranny.

I have it running, but am confused to how the harness plugs in when the plugs dont match? Also I dont see the spot under the dash for the neutral safety?

The swap was easy minus the pedals, but I have a car hoist which made it much easier.
