thanks , i already called edelbrock they said i SHOULD be able to run the air gap, but i have some doubt. surely some one can offer advice on this . thanks .

The car in my avitar has the RPM intake with the stock hood and the underhood insulation is all there. I bought the intake in January of this year. I was told that it was last years version. I was also told the only change from last year to this year was the little "Made in the US" sticker on the front of the intake. If Edelbrock says the Air Gap and RPM intake are the same height, then your good to go. Ask them if there was any change in height in the RPM in the last couple of years. They should at least know that.

its called a air box u can order them outta mustang mags...with 1 tube or two tubes...run them out to the orig air tube sides on car...
