Default car runs bad now

I had an ignition issue before, turns out he tongue on the rotor finger wasnt touchign the cap. Then i tried playing with curb idle and ignition timing becuase it was bucking a bit at idle (sat aroudn 650), but before that it ran good, pulled hard. now the car bucks around 2000rpm when just driving, and when you hammer the throttle it backfires and has no get up.
engine is an 85 302HO carbed

did you take the wires off the cap? if so check to see if you put them back right it sounds like you dont have them in the right firing order

What kind of distributor do you have, and did you change the module? i put a msd module on mine and i had the same problem, it actually wouldnt even rev past 3500 or so, but mine was EFI though.

stock distributor, didnt change tps sensor. It ran great 4 days ago, but then the distributor finger broke, so i put a new finger on, and then i played with ignition timing and the curb idle speed, and now its ****ty

did you really have to say that four times :-P

double check your wires it sounds like the wrong firing order i have dont that before. then after checking that check your timing set it to 10* and see how she runs
