Default "squeeking" sound

Hey guys I have a question about my stang. Recently I've been hearing a squeeking sound coming from my car. It's very noticable when I'm pulling into my garage and at slow speeds. Right away I thought that it could be my brakes in the front but when I jacked up the front end and turned both tires it was quiet. I then jacked up the rear axel, put it in neutral and turned the rear tire and at that time I could hear the squeeking. I traced the sound to where I thought it was coming from and if I'm not mistaken it sounds like its coming from the rear of the transmission like in the pan but I don't know if there is any thing that turns in there?!? My Question is could it be a U-joint? The driveshaft seems pretty tight with barely any slop. Could I have a seized U-joint that could be making it squeek? And could the squeeking I hear sound like its coming from further up on the transmission but actually is coming from the U-joints? Thanxs alot guys for any help you can give me I really would like to remedy this problem as soon as possible before something major goes bad because I ignored it

Factory u-joints don't have grease fittings and will squeak over time. When they first start sqeaking, they will not show any signs of looseness. This will soon change.

Then yours aren't Factory. I work for Ford and every Ford U-joint is non-greasable.

So what do you guys think? Could it be my U-joints or something else? I just jacked up the rear end again and turned the wheel. It's not a constant squeeking sound it's intermitent(spelling). When the drive shaft is put into the rear of the tranny is it supposed to be greased or not? any help is appreciated--thanxs

Sure it's not the throwout bearing in your clutch?

If you think the u-joints are a possibility the next step is to remove the shaft. It's simple. I think it uses a 12-point 12 or 13mm socket to remove the 4 bolts on the rear axle. Pull it out of the trans and check the joints by hand. They should move smooth as silk and have no play. Anything other than the way I described it and they are junk. Make sure when putting the shaft back on you clean the snout good and put some light grease the seal lip. Torque the 4 bolts (I think) to 75 ft-lb.
