I got the pulley puller from advanced auto parts. Pretty sure I read the directions correct. applied the puller, and the only thing the puller did was almost break the outer ring around the pulley off the pump. now it wobbles while the car is running. any suggestions on how to get that pulley off???? attempting to clean the mounting bracket to clean up parts.

I had that problem with one before, heat is a great tool to use.

Yup, heat up the part around the post of the pump and use the puller on it. Just take your time and don't break it.

either they work amazing and come right off, or they can be a bitch, i actually when putting a pulley back on, i put it in boiling water to let it expand a little then it went on better.

I just use antisieze, goes on easy too
