Default Signs of a fuel filter going out?

whats the signs the engine will give you if the fuel filter needs to be replaced? could a filthy fuel filter cause fuel starvation and bogging when getting into the gas?

Its possible that it could cause some bogging, but I havent had that many cars bogging down due to the fuel filter, but like I said it could be the cause. When does it bog...all the time?

A cloggged fuel filter will cause a restriction in the fuel system thus creating lower pressures after the filter, especially at the injectors, giving you a weaker spray and lean condition which can cause stumbling and lack of power.

Even if that isn't your problem it's a good idea to replace it.

Don't even question fuel filters. If you think their plugged just change them. It's alot easier to change them rather than thinking about if thier plugged. Plus it's cheap.
