by passing air pump
 

my wife owns a 1990 mustang 5.0, the air pump pully has seized up and it ate the belt, can't afford to replace air pump right now, was wondering if it was possible to just bypass the air pump w/ a smaller belt and if so what size belt would i need.

go in an auto parts store and tell them you need the belt for a mustang minus the a/c and it should be the right size

If the car has A/C and power steering a Goodyear part # 4060840 should work.

The correct belt for having AC and PS with no smog on a fox is 84.5. I put on a 84 because it was cheaper and it works flawlessly.

my 84 inch belt was a pain to get on.it was a little bit short but i made it go on.
