intake manifold decision

intake manifold decision
i have a ford downs upper intake manifold "box" on my car now with the stock lower should i put a gt40 upper and lower intake off a explorer on my car? would it help or hurt it? which upper is the best? the ford downs is hollow inside so seems like it would be better????
