89 Mustang AOD Spline Count?

I am in the process of trying to buy another aod for my car, but I am wondering what spline count will fit in my car... Any help is appreciated...

I obviously don't know what in the hell I am talking about... I guess it's the input shaft... I ask this, because a guy in my town has a built up AOD for sale, and he said he tried putting it in his 91 Thunderbird (I believe) and it didn't fit...
