All good comments. I love my mustang, but I'm desperately trying to get rid of it. It's too hard to deal with fixing it while in school. Especially now that I'm in college. I love it, but I'm gonna wait till I'm done with college and can afford to have a project car, then I'll buy another mustang.

They're awesome toys, but not that great for a daily driver when you're in school.

I paid 2500 for my lx which is better equipped than most foxes, power everything w/ leather interior... all the car needed was a new clutch/clutch cable.

Don't jump on the first "good" mustang you find. Try to get something that is stock... since most of the time people sell modified cars because they don't know how to fix or properly make what they "upgraded" work.

Since you said your new to this, I assume you don't even know what subframes/torque boxes are. Torque boxes are where the rear lower control arms mount to the body. After serious abuse the factory spot welds tend to break and without reinforcement will never last. Since fox body mustangs are unibodies they have a front frame and a rear frame, basically just reinforcement for the suspension. The subframes are reinforcements that are welded(sometimes bolted which isn't as good) to the body of the car which connect the front and rear frames. The area between the front and rearr(beneath the passenger cabin) is weaker due to not having the frames and is cause for chassis flex and also extra road noise.
