Hey, I'm turning 16 next year and me and my dad were talking about getting a car then. So I've always wanted my dad's 1990 mustang gt "5.0" so I asked him about it. He told me that he would buy me an automatic one, "used" as my first car, and then work my way up. I plan to rebuild a lot of the car, but do you guys have any suggestions as to what to look for when buying it? Thanks!
"used" as my first car, and then work my way up. I plan to rebuild a lot of the car,...
I would think it would be used.
I think that these cars are money pits and to get it as a first car.......but hey to each their own. I love building up mine though,
Was this supposed to be a helpful comment, or were you just being a dick?
Thanks to other comments, they are appreciated.
Wow dick move on your part! that was the best info u got on this post the banged up torque box means that the car has been driven very hard and that is never a good sign!
Damn noob! If you knew anything, you would realize you just got some good info. Don't be so quick to call someone a dick!
Umm, first off I'm pretty sure I was just asking him if it was real advice. I am a, "newbie", which is why I made this post, so you are the one who is quick to call anyone anything. I appreciate his comment and know that he wasn't being a dick, which is exactly why I asked. Also, mstngsule68, I thought you were telling me to look for a car with those things in it, that's why I thought you were being a dick, but I see that you were telling me to stay away from it. Thank you much and I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.
P.S absolutbspec, you can get used 5.0's for around 5-6 grand. Now I now that's a lot of money, but compared to a new car, 10+ grand, I'd say it's a good deal, but yeah I've always been a fan of mustangs.
