Default a/c delete....

If I want to delete my a/c do I have to buy the a/c delte kit or can I just remove the compressor and leave the bracket and just run a shorter belt? Any pic of the routing that the new belt would require would be appreciated!!!!

Would just runnin a shorter belt and removing the compressor be safe or will there be a possobility of the belt loosening and fallin off? What other wayz are there imstaed of buying the eliminator kit?
