I use the mothers system, scratch remover, sealer & glaze then the caranuba wax. Its a lot of work but worth it IMO. I do a full system over about 3 weeks in spring then usually a scratch remover and sealer inmid summer. I had my front valance painted 2 years ago the the rest of the car matches the new paint.

I got meguiar's vinyl cleaner/protectant last weekend and it's amazing. I never thought that any vinyl could shine like that. It hadn't really been cleaned in like 5 years, and it looks better than new. Especially the radiator hoses. I can almost see my reflection.

Heres the scoop. Simple green is a great cleaner, and Greased Lightning is too, but just remember to do it when the engine is cool so you don't get spots anywhere (same with washing wheels, wait til there cool). I'm big into paint and that stuff, and from years of research and expert opinions, Mothers is hands down the best products. You may need to order this online because not many people know the right way to wax their car. Waxstation.com has all the stuff. First get a good car wash, mothers will do, and a good sponge. Then, purchase one of those green 8$ microfiber drying cloths from waxstation.com or somewhere. The advantage of these is that they never streak, leave you paint shining better even after a wash, and you can dry youy whole car. The microfiber towels are way better than a shami, but as with any towell for drying the car, never use fabric softener when doing the laundry, you'll streak your car and it will not be pretty. Anyway, so order Mothers and get the Pre-Wax Cleaner, then the Sealer and Glaze, then the Pure Carnauba Wax. This three step process is truly amazing. After a good wash and dry. Clean the paint to remove oxidation with the cleaner, one coat and remove. Then use the sealer/glaze, I usually do two or three coats because it adds so much amazing depth to the paint. Then finish up with the pure carnauba wax, maybe a coat or two. This will leave your paint almost like new, and last for 4-6 months. Between waxes, you can also purchase the shining spray from mothers, that you use when washing to keep up the shine and keep the water beeding.

Sorry for the novel, but this is the only way to do it.
