Default poor idle

i have a 94 cobra that idles very poorly, it seems like the local mechanics cant get it right. i had the computer scanned and it came up with no codes, but it displayed throttle position sensor out of adjustment. so i replaced it and still a poor idle any where from 1000rpm's to 400rpm's. all gaskets from the cylinder head up are new and the are no cracked vacuum hoses. there is no check engine light on. does anyone have a answer? thanks.

do you think grounds could cause stalling as well? it stalls when i stop or turn the wheel hard at a stop. also if let of the gas at low driving speeds you can feel the car jerking.

Fuel, Ignition, or Compression

The basis of all diagnosis

Fuel: check to ensure you have the proper fuel pressure and mixture

Ignition: solid strong spark at the right time

Compression: Cylinder pressure, cranking and holding. Biggest factor are things like head gasket, valve seating, rings, and cam timing.

Take the car to a different mechanic. Diagnosing problems and swapping parts require totally different abilities, most "mechanics" can only swap parts.
