I just bought my first Mustang GT. The car is stalling at idle. Please help with things to check and probable cause(s)? The CEL is on too??</P>

Any other suggestions? New to this car-how do you reset computer on this car? Also would help to know how you adjust idle and TPS and what their values should be. I do have a CEL on and would like to see the code? On the GM car I have it is very easy to retreve the CEL codes-no idea on my 94 GT??</P>

I knowa couple people who have this problem.. i am one of them. Does yours onw stall at idle in teh mornings off a cold start or does it do it no matter what the engine temp is? Mine and teh others i know of only do it in the mornings and teh rest of teh day it fires right up. </P>


To reset the computer disconnect the negative battery cable for a couple minutes to reset the comp. I dont know what do do from there to retrieve teh codes but I am in teh same boat as u with this problem. I have an 88 Gt but it should be the same basic way to retrieve teh codes right? What is a CEL anyhow and what equipment do i need to check my codes on my 88?? Good Hunting!</P>

oh yeah, to adjust the idle thier is a hex screw on the intake.. dont know which way is up or down though..
