possible purchase need your thoughts
 
I am new to the forums. I am looking at a mustang to trade my car for.

the deal is this. His mustang plus 2500 for my car. (04 grand Prix)


Please let me know what you think.

a 1984 t-top foxbody mustang with 302 bored 60 over it has 351 windsor heads that have been shaved and a three angle valve job it has speed pro pistons with manley rods solid timin gears no chain gear driven a comp cam with what is i believe a 545 lift on the intake side has a chrome polished aluminum intake with a 750 holley double pump dual feed carb with mechanical secondaries the ignition has a accel 15k coil pack hooker long tube headers it is an automatic car with a c4 tranny a 2800 stall converter the tranny was completetly built with red band racing clutches it has a 8.8 rear end with 373 gears its a locker rear end the inside it has a eight point roll cage custom hand built the rear seat has been deleted and fiberglassed over and carpeted all it has is two bucket seats in the front any questions interests or trades just let me know thanks for your interest

i have no clue what your GP is worth.. but sounds fair to me

bottom line is which would YOU rather have ?? i guarantee you'll like the stang more

is it an anniversary mustang ? does it say "gt350" on it

if yes... your getting a steal, if not... check production numbers for t-tops in '84

t-top cars are good cars to buy

The T-Top cars are nice.Is it all put together turn key car or is it in 5000 pieces?

it is all put back together. before the build on everything it was sand blasted in and out so right now it sits in storage in black primer. so as for the gt350 I ahve not a clue.


I have one question should I be worried about this bored 60 over.

Just something to think about if you plan to DD it..is the C4/3.73 locker combo.

this won't be a dd. it will be a weekend have fun car. maybe take it to the drag strip.

For a fun project, I think a Fox would be much better than a Grand Prix. Plus, you're getting some cash for tires and fuel!
