I have heard that a k&n filter in the air box would do a even better job over an air intake that does not go into the fenderwell. I have an air intake and the stock air box so would dropping a k&n filter in the stock air box be better? The air intake has a spectre air filter!

You might see 1-2 more HP from a setup that's grabbin cool air over one that's sitting inside the engine bay.

just remove the air silencer and put a k&n in the stock box. its the cheapest route with equal gains to any other cai

yes. or do what a lot of people do and buy a ebay cai fenderwell kit, and buy a k&n for that, if your going for the looks of a cai anyways.
