HELP!

Grinding going into reverse is normal, even on brand new transmissions(like my Tremec). It's because there's no syncro on reverse. Like you noticed, you have to put it in reverse as soon as the car starts up or, like previously stated, you have to put it into 5th gear and then reverse. Otherwise it will grind every time.

yea i tried from 5th to reverse and it didnt work. I did adjust the peddle by pulling up on it and it seemed to help for a minute. then it went back to no shifting.
also the chirp seems to go away when the clutch is pushed down.

thats odd that it doesnt stop the grinding :S ... but if you rest your foot on the clutch petal and the chirp goes away then its just your throw out bearing. 20 dollar repair but apparently you can keep driving with it chirping untill it breaks in 2 lol.

Also I did adjust the quadrant by pulling up on the clutch and I did here a few clicks, that seemed to solve the problem momentarily. As I was driving away, same problem prevented me from driving very far. I tried to pull up on the clutch but no more clicks. Going to put in a new quadrant and clutch cable now.
Hopefully it doesn't take very long!

Put a new quad(Zoom) and new cable in today. Still doesnt want to shift...taking it to a family friend tomorrow hopefully he can find the trouble. Is it possible that I need a new clutch? If so time to start researching for good brands.
So far I've looked at Zoom, Centerforce, and Ford Racing and if it is in fact the clutch does anyone have any recommendations?

I was looking at the dual friction and the zoom stage 3 clutches but I also don't want to go over the top. As of right now my mustang has only aftermarket headers and an h-pipe. Soon to have intake and a larger throttle body in the near future.
So would a racing clutch like the dual friction, be overboard? it is a heavier duty clutch right?
