fan and radiator set up for me

Stock rad is copper, not brass, but regardless that doesn't really matter. The rads will weigh roughly the same, aluminum one will most likely be heavier. Aluminum is made with a thicker gauge of metal, as long as you don't get some cheap chinese one anyway, and are usually thicker than 1", as otherwise there'd be no point in changing the rad if you didn't go any thicker than stock. Aluminum usually has fabbed tanks, that are tigged, copper just uses stamped steel which is good, don't get me wrong, seamless and no chance for leaks, just a lower quality of material

Thanks for the info. I may just wind up buying a radiator and putting the stock fan back on, this electeric fan project is out of my league, and I have no one to help me so... well see...

I am kinda like you in not wanting to spend money on fans, controller and other things like an alternator if needed.
If the fan clutch is leaking, I am going to do it anyway though. **** spending 100 bucks on a stock fan clutch.
