Default Need your help with Vac. lines

I need some help identifying some parts.

The 4 vacuum hose connection that connects to the 3 egr nipples and the vacuum line on the intake manifold.... do these connect to the thermactor and thermastor solenoids? What are they for? Can they be removed with the EGR system?

In the passenger side fenderwell, is the big plastic ball shaped object the vacuum reservoir? If so. What is the square plastic object that is also inside the fender toward the front of the car? The four vacuum line connection runs to the two unidentified objects mounted on the backside of the passenger side strut tower(thermactor and thermastor solenoid?), then runs to the square reservoir. What is the consequences of removing it? If these harnesses are left unplugged will they throw codes? Basically, I've got the egr system all taken out but ran into the problem of these vacuum lines on the passenger side. Are these for fuel vapors or air injection? I'm at a loss.

Also, how much would leaving the plastic inner fenderwells out of the car affect underbody aerodynamics? The plastic shields can have a huge affect on uplift and drag... but I'm not too sure about the fenderwell shield as it is not in direct contact with the flowing air. The car doesn't see rain so I don't care if it's not in there anymore.

Thanks.
