i have the gt40x heads and they work just fine for me.. what kinda problems do you have?

the gt40xs are 1.94 and 1.54

did you get ur heads checked at the machine shop before install? id take them off and bring them to the shop before down grading to the irons.

# Intake flows approximately 240 cfm at .550" lift (at 28" of H20)
# Exhaust flows approximately 170 cfm at .500" lift (at 28" of H20)

sounds like a head gasket, but then again they are used aluminum heads! i thought there was a prob putting any gt40s on an 86 cuz of the flat tops w/o valve reliefs, and they are milled? might want to check valve clearance before putting on another set.
