Default Head gasket question

Hey whats up, well recently after i just recently rebuilt my engine and stuck it in the car ive had coolant leaking out of header, so at first i thought it was the lower intake so i took that off to cheack the gaskets to see if they werent sealed properly around the water jackets and they were. So then what i did next was try pouring coolant down the water jacket on the top of head from where the lower intake would have water going through, and it came dumping out of my exhuast. Then i took the heads off and tons of water/coolant was coming out of every bottom head bolt i removed, and i mean alot. When the heads came off i notced that the front 2 water ports from the block to the heads where blocked off by the gasket, but im not sure if its suppose to be like that because i put the gaskets on where it said front on but it doesnt seem right so maybe the gaskets were stamped wrong or something. So what im wondering is... Are the 2 water jacks in the front of the block going to the head suppose to be blocked off or open by the gasket? Any other suggestions of what you think may be the problem if i had the gasket on right please share!

I believe they are supposed to be open, the coolant will need to flow from the engine block to the cylinder heads. I would try to fit the gaskets to fit so the coolant passages are not blocked, if that isn't possible maybe the gaskets aren't right for your engine.
