Default Pulled the heads off the car.....

Ok so I began tearing down my motor to finally install the HCI setup. Everything looks awesome(cylinders walls still have the crosshatches on them.), but I do have a question. a few of the pistons seem to have a calcium like buildup on them. It isnt much at all but I was wondering what it was and the cause?

is it a lean condition? The car is on the bottle, but has not been sprayed for almost a year. could that still show after so long? or is it a lean condition of recent?

I know I need to measure it but what size belts do you guys run for no A/C and no Smog Pump. The smog has been gone for awhile but Ijust took the A/C off today.

Yeah that looks just like carbon build up. Just lightly scrape that junk off. It may take some time, but I would deff. do that.
