v6 tranny vs v8 tranny

v6 tranny vs v8 tranny
i have a 95 gt 5.0 5 speed convertable. tranny went out this morning. with the research i have done , i have found out that the v6 tranny (94-98) is direct fit. what are the specs of the of the v6 tranny and what the specs of the v8 t5???

they are both exactly the same. ~300-330 ft-lbs torque handling, depending on who you ask.

when u say exact same do u mean totally??? gear ratio, all that good stuff?? just talked to my mechanic friend at Ford and he said that the pilot bearings/bushings (i forgot what he said) are smaller on v6 that v8.

your mechanic friend is wrong... the 4cylinder t5s had a different pilot bearing size
