New gauges cause dead battery?
I am going to be putting in new phantom gauges in my car this weekend, I am using the shell of the old cluster and I seem to remember a post here about some wire you have to put a resistor in line with when not using the factory amp gauge. Does anyone know about this? I remember is said something about how without the gauge or resistor, it would mess with the chargeing system in the mustang. If anyone knows, please help me out

As long as you install them right then you wont need anything.
Resistor won't be needed. Just make sure if they are electrical then don't tap them into constant 12v unless specified by manufacture. That can cause a dead battery.

I know how to install the new stuff, but what I mean is that I seem to remember a post talking about some electrical loop ford did through the gauge cluster, and if you remove it, and don't put a resistor in line with some wire, you can cause your charging system not to work. I have been trying to find that post
