well when i got this car the tv cable was out of adjustment but shifted good. i fixed that and it was fine for a few days but now i think first is going out , from SOME stops the rpm will raise 100-200rpm before it starts moving and the car will jerk forward. and in first it just doesn't have as much ***** as it does in any other gear if i give it heavy throttle.

is there anything i can do to make it last longer? adjust tv cable tighter/looser, bunch of slip fix? the fluid in it is so thin it like water, i added a little slip fix and it seemed to help,i though about a pan drop fluid change but ive heard the that old fluid is whats keeping it together.

any help would be great.

dump a little brake fluid in the trans, it'll swell the seals and friction material and you may get a few more miles out of it

dunno half a bottle to start with then drive it, it may or may not work pending the severity of the issue

ok thanks , its not too bad right now but i can tell something is wrong. under normal throttle it feels fine.
