Default moded 5.0 surging/ jerking

I have an 1989 5.0 HO with 70mm throttle body, bbk ssi intake. crane 2030 grind cam, underdrive pulleys, headers, h pipe, no cats, flowmaster mufflers. I had a shop put in a jasper racing tranny (AOD), I have also had the heads shaved a tenth. i have stock injectors, stock fuel regulator, and (new) stock fuel pump. it had a superchip installed before I bought it, and is still installed. I am having trouble with the car surging,/ or jerking while at low speeds(30 or 40mph). also it likes to shift at 4k rpm while at wide open throttle. I have already had the trans adjusted and still having problems.

I asked the summit racing specialists, and they said to put a 190 gph fuel pump, and an adjustable fuel regulator.

I would really appreciate and advice on the situation.
Thanks,-Jordan

I have searched for vacuum leaks, and that checks out to be o.k. I have not taken the chip out yet. I was wondering if I take the chip out, is there an oem, or dummy plug that takes the superchips place? or do I just take the superchip out?
Thanks for the advice.

no, they have some kind of grease on them to prevent corrosion on the copper.

I took out the superchip today. I had to readjust the timing in it.... and It runs a lot better! That horrid jerking is gone. It even seems more responsive. Thanks for the advice every one, i now can drive my car worry free.
Again THANKS!
