Stay away from both. They both have quality control issues. DSS will take care of their screw ups, but its just not worth the hastle, and from what I've heard the screw ups are many. CHP won't cover a problem if they think you are racing the car at all. Go with a Ford R block. From what I understand Livernois assembles the FRPP crate engines and have a good reputation.

Because my BARE BLOCK was pricey as ****.

But it does have 4bolt mains and there's no chance in hell im cracking it.

The FMS r302 and Dart blocks are one in the same.
Same casting, everything.

Edit: It's also about 50-60lbs heavier than the stock 302.
are you running the R302 block Kyle, or were you just referring to that for a comparison with Dart ?
Yes, that's the block im running currently.

Default dss chp

i have a dss stage 20 but everyone said go with the 351w but i went with the 351c the crankshaft is 5 pounds lighter than the 351w and afther you cut the front of the block in the water passages and plug 2 holes in the deck of the block you drop 30 40 pounds off the block and you can run the 302 type heads and intake and its close to the same as a svo block but the good thing is the weebing in the 351c is a lot stronger than the 351w or the 302 so run more cubic inches and spray the heck out of it rwhp on my mustang 472 tourqe on rwhp 512 on motor
